There have been several success stories, and below are a few stories that are representative.
Career Progression
*** Case: Negative beliefs that stopped a person’s career growth
A General Manager in a reputed National Bank had been trying for a promotion to the next level of Regional Director. He had a few more years to go for retirement and he had been considered for the post since the previous few years, but was always overlooked.
Coaching: During the Coaching sessions, it came to be known that although he was technically good in his work and he had fairly good people management skills, his issue was that he would get extremely nervous in his presentations or interactions with his Managing Director. This caused him great anxiety and he was not able to focus on his work. He had started developing a belief that he was not good enough for the next level and was losing focus.
The coaching sessions helped him get over his anxiety, re-framed his beliefs, and simulated specific situations such as meeting with his MD, attending his appraisal interviews, etc. This enormously allowed him to get back his self-confidence.
Result: Four months later when his appraisal results were declared, he was promoted to Regional Director.
*** Case: Often, it is noticed that worries on the household front can have a bearing on one’s career
A Vice President in a reputed IT organisation in Hyderabad had performance issues and was given 6 months time for improvement. This person was naturally very agitated with what he had been told, and felt that the organisation and the management was against him in every way. During the sessions, he realised that his performance in office was largely due to his domestic issue at home. His had big relationship issues with his 19 year old son, and due to this, his wife and younger son were also against him. He was constantly told by his wife that he was not a good father, and he was undergoing a lot of stress due to this.
Coaching: The coaching sessions and some powerful NLP techniques helped him realise the misperception in his mind, and got him to change his own behaviour towards the family. He also practiced visualisation of a happy family.
Result: His family relations improved drastically and as, he found himself giving more time to them, and spending time with his son and discussing on his son’s areas of interest. They now have a regular family outing to a movie or a restaurant which for many years, they hadn’t been doing.
*** Case: Have we ever validated to see how much we love the work we do?
A Project Manager in a reputed IT company had major issues in work-relationships with her boss and teammates. She felt that she was being ‘targeted’ by her boss, and that her team was taking advantage of this. She also felt that people did not give importance to her views, and she was losing her confidence in her abilities. This made her get extremely frustrated, and she had lost all motivation to go to work. This was obviously hampering her growth, and she was also considering change in her career, but confused whether she should do it.
Coaching: The coaching sessions had a big impact in her way of thinking. She realised that the power to change all this was inside of her. Through Coaching, she be aware of what was actually happening during her conversations, and how the other people perceived the situation diferently. By the end of the sessions, she had not only overcome her perceptions, but also learnt how to build quick rapport and make effective conversations with people. Throughout the sessions, the actions that she carried out got her confidence back, and she started getting results. The surprise turn of events was that, when she decided to take the DMIT (Biometric) test. The report indicated her potential in the area of acting (which she realised was her childhood dream).
Result: She feels a sense of importance and more responsibility, she is more relaxed in meetings with her boss, and she has greatly improved her relations with her team. She started attending weekend classes in Stage Acting to discover her natural ‘inborn’ talent, and she is currently in the process to take this up as a full-time career. She had now found purpose in her life.
Mental Wellness
** Case: How a small change in the mindset created massive change in a person’s life
A lady in Kanpur had issues with her husband and joint family in trying to match their way of thinking. Their expectation from her was that of a house-wife, however, she was badly looking for her own sense of identity outside of the house. She herself, was a Coach, however, was stuck up in her own web of beliefs that she was not good enough to make it count. This had been causing her with a lot of deep anxiety and a near depression state, as she struggled to balance her life between her family and what she wanted to be.
Coaching: There was 1 session done with her over call where through some powerful NLP techniques like timeline and Huna Garden, and interspersed with visualisation, she got big breakthroughs as she realised her own identity and what she wanted to do. It also helped her break free from her past emotional bonds with her husband and father.
Result: It’s over a year since she had the session, and now she has found her own niche, and is busy with NGOs where she works with students. She is also a motivational speaker who is invited to several educational institutions for delivering talks and workshops, and is a much sought after person in the region. She has also written a book which is one of the best sellers.
** Case: How a 90 minute session cleaned up the mental mess and depression of a young lady
A young lady of around 25 years was suffering from depression because of a layoff from her company. She felt she was targeted by her boss and her reporting manager, and since it was a small company, she could not do much about it. Besides this, on the home-front also, she could not get along with her brother and sister-in-law, and she lived with her mother.
Coaching: When she came for the first coaching session, we she was clearly under a lot of anxiety and it was visible on her face. She underwent the Access Bars session for 90 minutes. The session had an immediate impact on her and she said that, she felt calmness inside her and later that night, she said that she had a good night’s sleep after a very long time. Thereafter, two more Access Bars sessions got her completely out of her internal ‘mess’. Thereafter, we started on her career-coaching.
Result: Even before she could complete the coaching sessions, she had got a job for herself, and by her own admission, it was just the type of job she wanted. She also got a good boss and team. The sessions also helped her change perceptions about herself. Earlier, she felt that people were always speaking behind her back and that, she was not welcome. She quickly realised that, this was only her assumption and belief. She changed her habits and behaviour to be more accessible to people and to also, proactively approach and talk to them with a smile. Her confidence was back and she is doing well in her new job.
Health-Related
** Case: A single session removed an Allergy that had been troubling the lady since childhood
A lady, career counsellor herself, had pollen-grain allergy which she had been having since childhood which was seasonal. When she approached me, she was perfectly fine (atleast at that moment), but she wanted to get rid of it, as she usually got it when winter starts and she was expecting that anytime (this was around Oct-Nov’2016).
Coaching: Through a mild trance induction technique of NLP, she was able to trace the allergy to the first cause in her life. The event in her life happened when she was between 2 to 3 years old, and involved an unpleasant incident with her father. Through a process of cleansing which took nearly 45 minutes, she was able to clean up the impact of that event.
Result: The result was amazing as she said ‘she felt as though a big boulder was taken off my back’. From that day, till today, she says she hasn’t had any problem with the allergy and that it’s completely gone. The surprise element here was that, even her backache is gone now which she feels was probably related to the same event. When she went through the session, she had not even mentioned about the backache, so it was a surprise for even me that she had the pain earlier.
** Case: How a person was cured of Migraine.
Migraine usually happens due to extreme stress, and the people who suffer from migraine, it can be nightmare. A young charted accountant was suffering from migraine for the past 15 years, and was under medication. When she got the migraine, it was quite unbearable and she would ask everyone to go out of the room, and she would suffer silently.
Coaching: When she came for the first session, she was quite apprehensive as she did not know what to expect. The first session involved understanding and removing the root cause of the problem which happened to be an event that happened nearly 15 years back. Once this was done, a disassociation technique was used to free the pain away permanently. During the second session, she learnt how to use the simple but powerful technique of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) which we would use twice during the day.
Result: The Migraine miraculously, disappeared thereafter, and she hasn’t had it since then.
